The pressure of supporting her family alone coupled with the trauma she held within, caused her to self-medicate with alcohol and then crystal meth. Unable to cope with her past, she ended her marriage and continued her life alone with her children. She began experiencing panic attacks at age 25 that led her to counseling for what occurred in her childhood. It wasn’t until the age of fifteen that she would establish domain over her own body, and stop the victimization of incest that had become her own private nightmare.ĭebra graduated from high school in 1981, and married at the age of 21.
